This November, the 2025 Eye Level Math Olympiad will welcome students from 15 countries.
More than a test, it’s the first step toward discovering each student’s potential and nurturing confidence, curiosity, and self-belief.

Contest information:   The Eye Level Math Olympiad (ELMO) is an annual mathematics contest that began in 2003, with over 70,000 students from 15 countries participating. ELMO is designed to challenge students' mathematical abilities on a global scale across various areas including arithmetic, geometry, measurement, data analysis, reasoning, and problem-solving. Open to all students, ELMO aims to foster and promote mathematical skills among students of all levels worldwide.

ASSESSMENT SCOPE

Students will be assessed on various aspects of mathematical ability, including arithmetic, comprehension, and problem-solving skills appropriate for each grade level.

- SECTION 1 : evaluates overall mathematical knowledge and arithmetic skills.
- SECTION 2 : assesses the ability to understand and formulate word problems.
- SECTION 3 : measures problem-solving proficiency across key areas.

Students will be given 50 minutes to complete a 40-question test.

- SECTION 1 : 20 multiple-choice questions (1.5 points each, 30%)
- SECTION 2 : 10 short-answer questions (3.0 points each, 30%)
- SECTION 3 : 10 mixed-format questions — multiple-choice and short-answer

(Points per vary by difficulty, 40%)
