Eye Level, a global education provider originated from South Korea, donated a large amount of its booklets to the National University of Singapore (NUS) as part of its CSR activity. The booklets will be used as school’s supplementary materials in Korean language classes.

The relationship between NUS and Eye Level begins with Professor Wai Meng Chan, who had won the 2018 Eye Level Educator’s Award – a global award hosted by Eye Level to acknowledge global educators who have contributed to the field of education and/or development of Korean culture and language overseas.

The Centre for Language Studies at the NUS has been very proactive in allowing students to learn about the Korean culture and language by opening up Korean language classes and conducting various programs on campus. As a support, Eye Level decided to provide its learning materials that can be used during Korean classes at the school. The materials are bundled up in two different courses (Intermediate and advanced) with 7 levels each and will be provided to 350 students starting this semester.

Eye Level also holds recruitment seminars at NUS and has recruited one intern this May who started to work at the Eye Level Singapore office.  Louis Jung, the head of Eye Level Singapore regards this opportunity as “An honorable moment to be able to contribute to such a prominent school in Singapore and its students who are interested in learning Korean culture,” and wishes to continue working with the school
